Mr. Richard Brainerd
Mr. Richard Brainerd has over 35 years of human resources experience. He received his BS in Business and Economics, U. Wisconsin and graduated from the Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, N.C.
Mr. Brainerd's work experience includes directing the human resources programs for the Metropolitan Council, Ramsey County and the Wisconsin Dept. of Justice. He also served as Deputy Commissioner- Personnel, Minnesota Department of Employee Relations, and Director of Human Resources for the North Central Blood Services, American Red Cross, Saint Paul. He is currently, an independent consultant working for CPS Human Resources Services.
Dick has and continues to serve as an Instructor, University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management 1985-2003; Substitute Teacher (K-12) 2004-2006; Board Member and prior Co-Chair, Twin Cities Labor Management Council; Board Member, North Central Blood Services, American Red Cross; Board Member, League of Minnesota Cities; Member, Policy Committee, National League of Cities and MN League of Cities; Member and Past President Saint Paul Human Resources Directors Association; Current City Council member, Mahtomedi, MN; Qualified Neutral, Alternative Dispute Resolution/ Mediation; Past President, Riverside Lions, Saint Paul; Vice-Chair, Board of Public Works, Madison, WI Member International Public Management Association for Human Resources (past president, board member, honorary life member, Stockberger Award ).
