David F. Fisher
David F. Fisher is a lawyer and partner with The General Counsel Ltd., consulting public, private and nonprofit organizations in governance structure and programs, risk and crisis management, law office management, executive compensation, and international transactions. Mr. Fisher currently serves on the nonprofit boards of ClearWay Minnesota and Senior Community Services. He is the former Minnesota Commissioner of Administration, where he was the chief operating officer and chief information officer for the State of Minnesota, and also has been a member of the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities Area, where he served as vice chair.
Mr. Fisher has served as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for G&K Services, Inc., and ADC Telecommunications, Inc., and founded and served as chief executive officer for Internet Destination Sales System LLC (iDSS), a software services provider. Mr. Fisher also held general counsel and international management positions with The Pillsbury Company, including serving as general manager in establishing Pillsbury's consumer foods distribution businesses in Eastern Europe.
Fisher formerly served on the board of directors for Minnesota Technology, Inc., chaired the Minnesota Technology Enterprise Board and was the executive secretary for the State of Minnesota Executive Counsel, chaired by Minnesota's Governor. He is also involved with various professional associations, has been an adjunct professor of law at William Mitchell School of Law and Hamline University School of Law, as well as a conciliation court judge in Hennepin County.
