Steve Kelley

Steve Kelley

Mr. Steve Kelley is currently of counsel at MacKall Crounse & Moor PLC and is a senior fellow in the Center for Science, Technology and Public Policy at the University of Minnesota.

Kelley served as a Minnesota state senator for District 44 (St. Louis Park and Hopkins) from 1997 to 2006 and as a state representative for District 44A from 1993 to 1996. During his political tenure, Kelley served as the chair of the Senate Education Committee, vice-chair of the Senate Telecommunication Energy and Utilities Committee and chair of the National Conference of State Legislatures' Communications and Information Policy Committee.

Kelley holds a bachelor's degree in political science and political economy from Williams College in Massachusetts and a JD from Columbia University School of Law in New York.

He and wife, Sophie Bell Kelley, have two children and reside in Hopkins, Minn.
